The best bit is how stupid I am…
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” (2Co 12:9-10)
It is God’s stregth that the Christian relies in order to walk the hazardous path set before him. It is God’s strength working through believers that allows them to show the world around them grace and true, unconditional love. Without God it would be impossible for the true believer to display through actions this supernatural love.
Therefore, the more weak we are, the more glorious is the strength that we are relying on. The more we and those around us understand our weaknesses, the more apparent is the greatness of this strength and so the more God is glorified.
So be a realist about who you are in yourself. Admit your own faults and failings willingly so that God will recieve the praise and glory due to His name for the great redeeming work He is doing within you.
